Just to give you a quick background, back in January this year, I saw an article on google saying that the LA GAlaxy football (soccer) team were going to be holding open tryouts. I thought it would be great fun for a penniless, no-hoper to chance his way into the big time and, although I didn't make the team, it was one hell of an experience. And now I want more! 'Payne in the ASS' is my attempt to get under the skin of American soccer and see what makes it tick.
